The Dark Side of the Moon holds the record for most cumulative weeks on UK Albums Chart among Pink Floyd albums

It’s no surprise that The Dark Side of the Moon is Pink Floyd’s biggest chart survivor. The album has spent a staggering 574 weeks on the UK Albums Chart — that’s over 11 years of cumulative presence, most of it non-consecutive thanks to its legendary initial run of 364 weeks starting in 1973 and countless re-entries ever since.

That total makes it not just the longest-charting Pink Floyd album but also one of the longest-charting albums in UK chart history, trailing only a handful of greatest-hits compilations. For comparison, The Wall sits at 139 weeks, and Wish You Were Here at 98 weeks — both impressive, but dwarfed by the dark side’s staying power.
