The dressing goes in a jar, not on the salad. If you pour it on in the morning, you’re eating wet lettuce by noon. Keep it separate and add it right before you eat.

The easiest move is a small leakproof container or a condiment cup. If you want to get fancy, a mason jar works: dressing on the bottom, then sturdier stuff like tomatoes, then greens on top. When you’re ready, shake it or dump it in a bowl.

Also—dry greens matter more than anything. Spin the lettuce well, and if you’re worried, toss a paper towel in the box to catch moisture. Keep croutons, cheese, and anything crunchy in their own little bag so they don’t turn to mush.

Your salad is not a soup. Separate the wet stuff, and you’re fine.
