The GPU matters more than the RAM for Fortnite.

Yeah, 16GB will help a little, but the GPU is the real bottleneck for stutter and frame drops. On low settings, Fortnite is surprisingly light on memory. An i3-12100F with 8GB can run it, but you’ll see stutter when the system has to swap memory to disk if you’re also running Discord or a few browser tabs. 16GB smooths that out.

But the bigger source of stutter is the GPU. If you stick with integrated graphics or a low-end card, you’ll get sudden frame drops regardless of RAM. A proper budget GPU like an RX
