The Niagara Falls State Park is open 24/7, and the paths on Goat Island – including the main walkways to the viewing areas – remain accessible during the illumination show. The lights run from dusk until midnight (or later, depending on season), and that’s exactly when you want to be out there. The Cave of the Winds and the elevator close, but the island paths themselves do not.

Just watch your step. The railing is there for a reason.
