The KEXP live recording of 'Pressure to Party' is the one.
Yes, that one.
Dry Cleaning’s KEXP session from 2021 nails everything that makes this song work. The mix is clean but raw — you can hear every dry guitar scratch and Florence Shaw’s deadpan delivery perfectly. The band is locked in, and the energy lands somewhere between a late-night practice space and a proper stage.
There are other decent live recordings (Boiler Room’s is fun but muddy; a 2022 6Music session is good but a bit sterile). But the KEXP version has that intangible rightness — the timing, the tension, the little vocal inflections that get lost elsewhere.
If you only listen to one, make it the one with the yellow background.
