The 'No Security' album and omitted Bridges to Babylon tour songs like 'Hand of Fate'

The Rolling Stones’ 1998 live album No Security was culled from the massive 1997–98 Bridges to Babylon world tour but only captured about half the setlist’s variety. On the tour, the band rotated deep cuts and B-sides nightly, yet the official release stuck to hits and a few album tracks from the era.

Songs like “Hand of Fate” (from 1976’s Black and Blue) were played regularly—often as a Keith Richards vocal slot or a surprise encore—but didn’t make the cut. Other notable omissions from the No Security tracklist that survive on audience tapes include “Respectable,” “Let’s Spend the Night Together,” “Paint It Black,” “Little Queenie,” and a rare cover of “Route 66.” These recordings circulate among collectors, revealing a far looser, more playful tour than the official album suggests.
