The picture frame dry-erase board hack actually works

Any glass picture frame becomes a dry-erase board for homework in about two minutes, and it’s the best cheap study trick going.

Just take the frame, pop the back off, put a piece of white cardstock or plain paper inside where the photo would go, and reassemble it. Write on the glass with a dry-erase marker. Wipe with a tissue or an old sock. Done.

The key is glass. Don’t buy plexiglass or acrylic for this — dry-erase markers smear and stain those. Thrift store frames are perfect. You want one big enough to write a problem on, so a standard 8x10 or 11x14 works great. If the frame has matting, you can either keep it for a neat border or ditch it for more writing space.

This is also a decent way to keep homework visible: write your assignment list on the glass side, leave it propped up next to your desk. When you’re done, it wipes off and you still have the paper underneath for the next thing.

No need to buy a real whiteboard unless you need magnetic or something huge. For daily practice problems and study reminders, a $2 garage-sale frame beats a $30 board every time.
