The 'Pink Floyd in Japan' Archive and the Tokyo Flea Market Poster Find

What’s wild is that a small group of obsessive Japanese fans built what might be the most complete archive of Pink Floyd’s two tours of Japan (1972 and 1975) just by hitting flea markets, fan trades, and old photo archives. They called it the Pink Floyd in Japan project, mostly online, and it’s a rabbit hole of posters, ticket stubs, newspaper clippings, and backstage passes that even the band’s official archivists didn’t know existed.

The crown jewel came from a Tokyo flea market: a 1972 poster for the Osaka show, designed with bold Japanese typography and a spacey
