That’s less than a typical LED lightbulb. On a desktop, you’ll never notice it on your electric bill. On a laptop, you might lose 5–10 minutes of battery life—if that. The actual power draw depends on the RAM type (DDR4 vs DDR5), speed, and voltage, but the capacity difference alone is tiny.

If you need 32GB for your workflow, don’t overthink the power. The performance gain from not running out of memory will save you way more energy than the RAM consumes.
