The Roomba j7 wins for cord avoidance.

The Samsung Bespoke Jet Bot is fine, but the j7 was literally designed to avoid cords and pet waste. Samsung’s AI object recognition works, but Roomba’s PrecisionVision is more proven and aggressive about untangling.

The j7 uses its front camera to spot cords and stop before it runs them over. It then backs up and goes around. The Samsung relies on its LiDAR and a separate camera, but it’s more prone to pushing cords or driving over them if they’re flat. In practice, the j7 gets tangled less often.

If cord avoidance is your #1 priority, get the j7. If you care more about smart mapping or mopping, the Samsung might pull ahead. But for this one job, Roomba wins.

I’d still pick a good cord management strategy over any robot vacuum, though.
