The wall is your second desk. When you have a small desk with no drawers, the best place to store school supplies is the wall right above it.
Think about it: your desktop is for working, not holding stuff. So get a little pegboard, a wire grid, or a hanging pocket organizer. Clip your most-used pens and scissors in reach, and slot notebooks and sticky notes into the pockets. It’s cheap, it only needs a couple of screws or adhesive strips, and it clears your desk instantly.
The rest goes out of the way. You don’t need a whole drawer system — just a single caddy or even a sturdy pencil case that you drop everything into at the end of the day. If it doesn’t fit in that one case, it’s probably stuff you don’t use daily, so it can live in your backpack, a box on the floor, or under the bed.
