The Yeti Hopper Flip is overkill for most people.

Get the Ozark Trail.

The Yeti Hopper Flip is absurdly expensive for something that’s going to sit in the sand next to your towel. I’ve used both. The Ozark Trail holds ice just as long for a fifth of the price.

The main difference is the zipper. Yeti uses a waterproof zipper that’s a pain to open. Ozark uses a regular zipper that’s easier but can leak a little if you tip it over. For a pool or park, you’re not submerging it. You’re fine.

The only reason to buy Yeti is if you absolutely need the warranty or you want to flex on the other parents. Neither is worth $200.

Spend the savings on sunscreen and better snacks.
