Third-party Roborock parts are fine for most people.

Yes, for the most part. Filters and brushes from third-party brands work well enough that you’d have to be very picky to notice a difference.

The filters are the main thing: OEM ones catch slightly more fine dust, but third-party filters are like 70% as effective at 20% the price. Replace them a little more often and you’re still ahead. Brushes are even easier — many third-party ones are literally the same plastic from the same factory. The main brush might wear out a tiny bit faster, but at a quarter of the cost, who cares?

The only thing I’d avoid are cheap knockoff mop pads or weird brand-name alternatives for the main brush that don’t fit right. Stick to well-reviewed sellers on Amazon or AliExpress and you’re golden.

Your Roborock won’t know the difference. Your wallet will.
