Third Sister Island delivers.
Yes, but you won’t find it by accident. Third Sister Island is the smallest and least visited of the three at Niagara Falls State Park, and most tourists never make it past Luna Island. The trail from Goat Island crosses a narrow footbridge and winds through woods before opening up to a few rocky spots right above the Class 6 rapids. No railings, no crowds, just you and the roar.
You’ll want sturdy shoes — the path is unpaved and gets muddy. And bring patience. It’s not a five-minute detour. But if you want to sit and watch the water without someone’s selfie stick in your face, that’s your spot.
