Three Sisters Islands are quieter than the tower or the boat queue.

Yes, by a lot. You’ll still see people, but it’s not the shoulder-to-shoulder madness you get at the Observation Tower or waiting for Maid of the Mist.

Those two spots are tourist funnels. Everyone wants the iconic photo from the tower, and everyone queues up for the boat. The result is aggressive density, especially midday in season.

Three Sisters Islands are a bit of a walk downstream on Goat Island. Most people don’t bother going that far—they hit the big views and move on. You get similar “right next to the rapids” vibes with maybe a quarter of the crowd.

If you want to avoid people and still feel close to the water, Three Sisters is the move. If you’re fine jostling for a selfie, go hang by the tower.
