Tie it high and add a belt.
Pretty easily, actually. You don’t need sewing or straps — just a good knot and a belt.
Wrap the sarong around your body, bring the top edges together over one shoulder (or both, if it’s wide enough), and tie a knot. That’s your neckline. Then cinch a belt at your natural waist so it doesn’t look like a towel. If the sarong is long, tie it on the shorter side so you’re not stepping on fabric.
Fabric matters: cotton or rayon works well. Slippery polyester will untie itself mid-dance. If you’re worried about it, safety-pin the knot from the inside. Nobody will see.
Keep accessories minimal — big earrings or a hat, not a whole bag. You’re at a beach party, not a runway.
You’ll look like you planned it.
