Travel breaks habits. Plan for the broken version.
When you’re on a business trip or vacation for weeks in February, your Q1 habit tracking needs a travel mode, not perfection.
Trying to maintain the exact same routine while traveling is a fast track to quitting entirely. You won’t have your usual environment, time blocks, or energy levels. So don’t pretend you will. Instead, shrink your habit down to the smallest defensible version.
For example, if you normally track “30 min exercise, 5 days/week”, switch to just “did something active today? Yes/No.” If your habit is “read 20 pages daily”, drop it to “read one page.” The point is to keep the streak alive, not the intensity.
I’d also recommend you pick just one or two habits to track during travel, not your full Q1 board. February is short. You can resume the full list when you’re home. The rest can wait.
Better a low bar than no bar.
