Trim the rug tassels.

Just cut them off. It’s the simplest fix and your vacuum will stop getting stuck.

Tassels are decorative, not structural. Your robot vacuum’s side brush and wheels will snag them every time, then it sits there beeping for help. Trimming them to about an inch or removing them entirely solves the problem permanently. You won’t miss them.

If you’re emotionally attached to the tassels, you can try magnetic boundary strips or a no-go zone in the app, but that’s more work and still not foolproof. Tape or weigh down the edges? Temporary at best.

This is not where you fight a losing battle.
