TruFuel already has the stabilizer. Don't add more.

TruFuel doesn’t eliminate degradation forever, but it does eliminate the need for extra winter treatment — because the stabilizer is already in it.

If you’re using TruFuel or any quality pre-mixed fuel, you’re already getting the two things you want for winter storage: no ethanol and a built-in fuel stabilizer. That’s the whole point. There’s no reason to add another bottle of stabilizer on top.

That said, it’s not magic. Even pre-mixed fuel degrades over time. Ethanol-free stabilized gas lasts much longer than pump gas — easily through a normal winter, and sealed containers can go for years — but it still oxidizes eventually, especially once the can has been opened.

So the short answer: you don’t need winter treatment if you’re running TruFuel. But don’t assume it’s immune to aging. Use it, seal it, and don’t keep a partly used can around for five seasons.

TruFuel is the good stuff. It just isn’t forever.
