Try a sensor reset in the app first.

That usually fixes it. Most robot vacuums have a calibration or mapping reset option buried in the settings menu. Run that before you even think about opening the unit.

If the app reset doesn’t work, clean the LIDAR lens with a microfiber cloth — dust and pet hair are the most common cause of bumping. Also check the bumper sensors (usually a strip on the front) for stuck debris. A quick wipe and a restart often solve it.

Only if those steps fail would I consider a full factory reset (again, through the app). Hardware failure is possible, but rare. Most “drunken vacuum” behavior is software or dirt.

Nine times out of ten it’s dust, not a dead sensor.
