Soldered RAM is not meant to be upgraded. It’s literally fused to the motherboard. Attempting to desolder and replace it requires professional equipment and skill, and even then you risk damaging the board. If you send it in for a different issue, they’ll see the work and deny coverage.

If you bought a laptop with 8GB soldered and want 16GB later, you bought the wrong laptop. Next time, get one with socketed RAM or pay upfront for the configuration you need.
