Use a heavy eye cream with ceramides and caffeine

For dry cold air and low humidity, you need a rich, occlusive eye cream — not a gel. Lightweight formulas evaporate too fast and can even make things worse by pulling moisture from the skin.

The problem isn’t aging, it’s dehydration. Those fine lines are temporary dryness, darkness is from constricted blood vessels, and puffiness is fluid retention from poor lymphatic drainage. A heavy cream seals moisture in and helps everything settle.

Look for ceramides, petrolatum or dimethicone as base ingredients. Caffeine helps depuff by constricting blood vessels. Peptides and niacinamide support the skin barrier. Avoid retinol or strong actives in winter — they’ll irritate and make fine lines stand out more.
