Use a tension rod and a narrow pull-out bin

The best way to organize a small under-sink cabinet is to install a tension rod for spray bottles and add a narrow slide-out bin for loose items.

Those two things solve the two main problems: bottles falling over and small stuff getting lost in the dark. A tension rod (the same kind you use for a shower curtain) runs across the cabinet width, and you hook spray bottles onto it by their necks. Keeps them upright, visible, and easy to grab. No more digging through a pile of bottles that inevitably tip over and leak.

For everything else—sponges, scrub brushes, gloves, small refills—a narrow plastic bin that slides out on rails is a game changer. You can get one that’s the depth of your cabinet and maybe 6 inches wide. It corrals all the small crap so you can pull it out, grab what you need, and shove it back. No more fishing around behind the pipes.

Two more tips: Put a cheap liner or a small drip tray underneath the spray bottles so any drips don’t sit on the cabinet bottom. And don’t store anything flammable near the pipe joints (oven cleaner, etc.). That’s less about organization and more about not burning your house down.

You’ll honestly feel like a different person every time you open that cabinet.
