Vacuum seal your spaghetti

Yes, vacuum sealing is the best method for long-term storage of bulk spaghetti.

Dry pasta is already shelf-stable. The enemy isn’t time—it’s air, moisture, and pantry moths. Freezing is overkill and wastes freezer space. A vacuum-sealed bag in a cool, dark cupboard will keep spaghetti good for years. No risk of freezer burn, no condensation.

If you don’t have a vacuum sealer, a tight-sealing Mylar bag with an oxygen absorber works just as well. The key is removing oxygen. That’s what prevents the pasta from going stale or attracting bugs.

Skip the freezer entirely. It’s not necessary, and if the bag isn’t perfect, moisture can get in and ruin the texture. Keep it dry, keep it airtight, and you’re set.

Your freezer is better used for things that actually spoil.
