Wall-mounted shelves are the move

Wall-mounted shelves are the best way to store and display a small vinyl collection in a tiny living room because they use zero floor space and turn your records into art.

Floating shelves or picture ledges are perfect for this. You can run a couple of them side by side at eye level, and suddenly your albums are a rotating gallery wall instead of a storage problem. The key is to keep it to one or two rows — if you have more than 50 records, you might need a small cube shelf, but for a small collection (say 15-30 LPs), wall space is infinitely better than floor space.

Make sure the shelves are deep enough for a record jacket (about 13-14 inches) but not so deep that you stack them. Stacking records horizontally increases risk of warping, and it looks like a cluttered pile. Keep them upright, spaced loosely enough to browse without squeezing. If you want to get fancy, you can even mount a turntable on a shelf with some cable management to keep the whole setup off the floor.
