Wash the filter under the tap.

Yes, you can—and should—rinse the filter with water. The dustbin just needs a good tap-out in the trash.

The filter gets clogged with fine dust that no amount of banging will fully dislodge. A quick rinse under the faucet (warm water, no soap) clears it. Let it dry completely before putting it back—12 to 24 hours. Have a spare filter if you want to keep cleaning in the meantime.

The dustbin itself is simpler: pop it open, tap the contents into the trash, use a dry cloth or brush to get the corners. Don’t wash it with water unless you enjoy hearing your Roborock wheeze and fry itself.

One more thing: check the brush roll for hair tangles while you’re at it. That’s where most performance complaints actually start.
