Wash the Roborock mop pad after every use.
Yes, every time. It’s the only reliable way to stop the smell.
The pad traps damp dirt, crumbs, and whatever else the bot picked up. If it sits in the dock or a closet damp for more than a few hours, bacteria starts doing its thing. You’re basically mopping with a sour sponge next time.
Rinse it under hot water with a little dish soap, or toss it in the laundry (no fabric softener). Let it air dry completely before snapping it back on. Some people buy a second pad so one is always clean and dry while the other is being washed.
Don’t bother with specialty cleaners or soaking in vinegar. Just wash it. Stop letting it fester.
Your robot deserves clean rags. Your nose deserves the same.
