Wash your fabric mousepad once a month

Wash your fabric mousepad once a month.

Yes – a monthly hand-wash with mild dish soap stops the rough, sticky feel. That gunk is just dead skin, sweat, and oils trapped in the fibers. Dish soap cuts grease better than anything else.

Fill a sink with warm water, add a drop of blue Dawn (or similar). Swish the pad gently with your fingers – no scrubbing or twisting. Rinse thoroughly until no soap comes out. Squeeze out water (don’t wring) and let it air dry flat.

For maintenance between washes, give it a quick wipe with a damp microfiber cloth every week. That alone prevents buildup. Just don’t use alcohol or bleach – they’ll wreck the fabric.

You’ll notice the difference in a single wash. Future fingers deserve better.
