Wear sunscreen if you sit by a window all day.
Yes.
If you work or live near a window that gets direct or even indirect sunlight for hours, your skin is getting exposed to UVA radiation. UVA goes straight through glass. It’s the main cause of premature aging and it raises your skin cancer risk. UVB—the burning kind—is mostly blocked by glass, but UVA isn’t.
Most people don’t think about it because the sun doesn’t feel hot through a window, but the damage is happening silently. If you’re in a car or an office with big windows, same deal. The classic example: truck drivers get more sun damage on the left side of their face from years of driving.
So slap on a daily SPF 30+ moisturizer. You’re already doing your face a favor—this is just the part people forget. Your future self will appreciate it.
