Budget Binocs belong in a junk drawer, not on a trail

These binoculars are cheap in every sense of the word. The optics are dim, the focus wheel sticks, and the alignment is so far off they’ll give you a headache within minutes. If you want to get a kid started with birdwatching, spend the extra $20 on something with actual coated lenses. These belong in a junk drawer as a “just in case” backup, not on a trail.
