Is the Generic Character Light-Up Rain Boots worth buying?

Skip the gimmick — lights and waterproofing are not friends. Here’s my hard-won dad advice: buy rain boots one size up and throw in some thick socks. Kids grow fast, puddle season is long, and there’s nothing worse than buying boots in September that pinch by November. Also, keep them by the door. The five minutes you spend searching for boots while rain pours down is five minutes of prime puddle-jumping time wasted. If your kid has a favorite pair we didn’t test, I’d genuinely love to hear about it. We’ve got plenty of rainy days ahead and a Chief Puddle Testing Officer who is always accepting new assignments. Stay dry out there, fellow parents. Or at least, keep the wet socks to a minimum.
