Kan Jam survived the double test: adults having fun while kids stay entertained

Kan Jam is one of the best backyard games I’ve found for mixed-age groups. The core mechanic is simple enough that a five-year-old can participate (toss a disc, deflect it into the slot) but competitive enough that two adults can go head-to-head without getting bored. It sets up in about thirty seconds, takes up reasonable space in the garage, and the discs are durable enough to survive dogs, gravel, and that one kid who inevitably stands too close. The original disc-throwing game that started the trend, and honestly it’s still the best version.
