PlanetBox Rover — expensive up front, but it'll outlast elementary school

I winced at the price when I first bought the PlanetBox Rover. Stainless steel bento boxes aren’t cheap, and this one sits at the higher end of the range. But after a full school year of being thrown into backpacks, dropped on cafeteria floors, and run through the dishwasher every single night, it looks basically the same as the day I bought it. The compartments actually help with picky eating too — something about food not touching seems to make a real difference in what gets eaten versus pushed around the plate. I’ve done the math, and if you’re tired of replacing plastic lunchboxes every semester, this thing pays for itself by year two. It’ll probably outlast elementary school and make it to middle school without breaking a sweat.
