Skip-Bo: the perfect next step after Go Fish
Skip-Bo is a step up from Go Fish without being overwhelming — the perfect bridge game for kids around 6 and up. The rules are simple enough that they get it after one round, but there’s enough strategy to keep adults from getting bored. It’s essentially sequential solitaire played against each other, which means every round plays fast and the luck factor keeps it fair for younger players. We’ve played this at the kitchen table more times than I can count and nobody has complained yet. That’s the real metric.
