The Eufy X12 is the middle child — LiDAR without the premium base

Eufy’s lineup follows a predictable pattern: budget models with random navigation and no app, mid-range models with laser mapping and decent suction, and premium models that add self-emptying bases and fancier mopping. The X12 lands squarely in that middle tier.

What you get at this price point is LiDAR navigation — the same spinning laser tower you’d find on Roborocks costing more — plus solid suction, a companion app that actually works, and the ability to set no-go zones and schedule cleanings. What you don’t get is a self-emptying base, which means you’re still emptying the bin by hand every few cycles.

That’s the trade-off that defines this whole category: do you want to pay a premium to never touch dust, or do you want good navigation and strong cleaning at a price that undercuts the flagship by hundreds? The X12 picks the latter and does it well.
