Three years of testing and the j7 has never eaten a toy or a wire

I’ve had the j7 running in my house for three years, and in that time it has never eaten a toy, chewed a charging cable, or dragged a sock into its rollers. That’s the benchmark I measure every other robot vacuum against. The front camera works — it sees a phone charger and goes around it.

The j-series, especially the j7, uses object detection to identify specific items: cords, socks, shoes, pet waste. It doesn’t just detect “something in my path” and decide whether to bump into it — it actually categorizes the object and adjusts its approach. That’s the difference between a vacuum that avoids some things and one that avoids the things that actually cause problems.
