For pet hair specifically, the j-series — especially the j9 with 2500 Pa of suction — handles shedding season on medium-pile carpet without complaint. It’s not the most powerful robot vacuum on the market by raw numbers, but the dual rubber brush system performs well with hair, and the suction is sufficient to pull embedded fur out of carpet fibers.

The j7+ also works well here, and it has the added benefit of not eating toys while it cleans. If you have a house with both shedding pets and kids who leave things on the floor, the j7+ is the better balance: it handles the hair and avoids the Lego pieces.
