Who wrote the lyrics for David Gilmour's 'Rattle That Lock' and what inspired the song?

The lyrics for the title track of David Gilmour’s 2015 solo album Rattle That Lock were co-written by Gilmour and his longtime lyricist wife, Polly Samson.
