Winterizing a saltwater chlorinator isn't complicated.

It’s mostly about keeping the cell from freezing and getting gunked up over the winter. Pull the cell out, give it a quick clean if it’s got calcium buildup (a diluted acid soak or a dedicated cleaning stand works), and store it somewhere dry and above freezing—your garage or basement is fine. For the piping, either close the bypass valves if you have them, or drain the lines so no water sits in the cell housing. That’s it. Don’t overthink it.

Future you will thank you when the cell fires up clean in the spring.
