Wipe the bin sensor.

Yes, that’s almost certainly the fix. Your robot vacuum’s “bin full” alert isn’t reading actual dirt—it’s reading an infrared sensor that gets dusty or smudged over time.

Find the small clear plastic window (or windows) inside the bin compartment and on the robot itself—the manual will show you exactly where. Wipe them gently with a dry microfiber cloth or a cotton swab. That’s it. The error clears immediately in most cases.

If wiping doesn’t work, check for a clog in the air path between the bin and the sensor. Sometimes a crumpled receipt or a stray cat toy blocks airflow, and the sensor thinks the bin is packed. Remove any obstruction, vacuum out the pathway, and try again.

And no, you don’t need to replace the whole robot yet. This is a $0 fix that takes thirty seconds.
