Wrap the ice pack in a towel or bag it
The easiest fix is to put the ice pack in a sealed plastic bag or wrap it in a cloth before it goes in your lunch box.
The puddle is just condensation — the cold pack hits warm air and sweats. A ziplock or a dish towel catches that moisture before it runs all over your apple. It also keeps your lunch bag from getting soggy.
If the ice pack already has condensation on it, wipe it dry first. And if you’re still getting puddles, consider switching to a frozen water bottle. It stays just as cold, sweats less, and you get a drink by noon that isn’t lukewarm.
Your lunch stays dry, and you don’t have to wring out your bag at your desk. That’s the whole trick.
