Yes, it probably can.

Most budget B450 boards with two DIMM slots support up to 32GB — that’s two 16GB sticks. That’s the standard limit for the chipset, and basically every DDR4 board from that era handles 16GB per slot without issue.

The only catches: check the motherboard’s QVL (qualified vendor list) if you want to be safe, and make sure you update the BIOS if it’s an old board. Early B450 BIOSes were sometimes picky with higher density sticks. A current BIOS should handle it fine.

Also, if you’re on a tight two-slot board, you’re giving up future upgrade room. 32GB is plenty for gaming and most work, but you’ll never get to 64GB without swapping both sticks. Fine for now.

Just buy a matched kit of 2x16GB and you’re set.
