UV rays go right through cloud cover. Up to 80% of UV can still reach your skin on an overcast day. Rain doesn’t block it either — water droplets scatter UV, so it’s still hitting you.

Unless you’re inside all day or it’s pitch black outside, the sun is still doing its thing.

The practical rule: if there’s enough light to see, there’s enough UV to matter. Keep the sunscreen on.
