Yes, you can just swap the RAM.
RAM is plug-and-play. Windows detects it automatically on boot. No drivers to install, no reinstall needed.
The only thing to watch is that the new RAM is compatible with your motherboard (same generation, speed, and voltage). Mismatched sticks might not run at full speed, but they’ll still work. Worst case: PC doesn’t boot, you reseat or swap back.
Don’t overthink it. This is the easiest upgrade you’ll ever do.
