You can't reset SMC on an M-series MacBook Air.
There’s no SMC to reset. Apple moved that functionality into the system firmware and it self-manages. If you’re having power or thermal issues, try a full shutdown (hold power button until the screen goes black), then wait 30 seconds and boot up. That clears the low-level state. Still having problems? Check Activity Monitor for runaway processes, or reset the NVRAM (shutdown, then press and hold power button for 10 seconds while booting – that actually triggers a reset on M-series). If it’s still acting up, it’s likely a hardware or software bug that needs a real fix, not a magical reset.
Don’t waste time looking for an SMC reset key combo that doesn’t exist.
