You only need two lunch box upgrades
You only need two things to make packing lunch actually easier: small screw-top sauce containers and a travel utensil set with a case.
The 2-ounce round containers with screw lids are the workhorse. The kind that look like little restaurant takeout cups but sold in bulk packs. They’re cheap, leak-proof, dishwasher safe, and hold exactly the right amount of dressing, hummus, or hot sauce for one meal. Those cute snap-lid silicone cups look nicer, but they leak in a bag the moment you pack anything runny. Skip them.
For utensils, get any set with a fork, spoon, chopsticks, and a carrying case. Bamboo is light and runs about ten bucks. Stainless steel is heavier but basically indestructible. Either one beats the sad plastic fork drawer at work, and brand doesn’t matter much because they’re all made in the same few factories.
That’s it. Silicone muffin cups and a thin ice pack are nice extras, but the two above fix most of the annoying lunch-packing problems.
This is the $15 upgrade that pays for itself the first week you stop buying lunch.
