You’re probably using half the sunscreen you need.
Yes, you’re probably not using enough. Most people apply a thin layer and wonder why they still burn.
The rule of thumb: a shot glass full for your body, and a two-finger strip (index and middle finger) for your face and neck. That’s about a teaspoon for the face alone. Spray sunscreens are fine, but you have to spray until the skin glistens and then rub it in—most people miss spots.
Don’t forget ears, back of your neck, tops of your feet, and the part in your hair. Apply 15 minutes before going out so it bonds, and reapply every two hours or after swimming/sweating. Yes, even if it says “water resistant.”
You won’t use that much if you hate the greasy feel. Try a matte or mineral sunscreen—they’re less annoying. But the protection only works if the layer is thick enough.
Future you without leathery skin will thank present you.
