Your avocado needs its own seat
The trick is to stop treating the lunch box like one big bag and start giving soft foods their own containers.
Avocado and hard-boiled eggs are not going to survive being buried under a thermos or a stack of Tupperware. So pack them last or pack them separate. A small 8-ounce container with a lid is your friend. Avocado halves or slices go in their own little box, eggs can go in a small container too, or wrapped in a paper towel in a spot that won’t get crushed.
If you’re using a bento-style box, put the heavy stuff on the bottom and the fragile stuff in a snug compartment. If it’s a regular lunchbox, eat the heavy items first or plan to keep them on one side. A folded paper towel or a few lettuce leaves under the avocado acts like a cushion. Not perfect, but better than nothing.
Hard-boiled eggs are tougher than they look, but they’ll still split if a metal water bottle lands on them. So the rule is simple: heavy at the bottom, soft on top, fragile gets its own container. Future You won’t be eating mush.
