Your goals need a shared calendar, not separate trackers.
The problem isn’t tracking—it’s that you’re pretending both goals can happen in the same hour.
Exercise and learning often compete for the same evening slot. If you track them separately (App A for workouts, App B for courses), you’ll never see the trade-off. You’ll just see two half-finished streaks and wonder why you’re failing.
Fix it: Use one time log. A single note or calendar where you record what you actually did in that hour.
Monday 7–8pm: exercise (weights) Tuesday 7–8pm: learning (Python lecture) Wednesday 7–8pm: rest (this is a decision too)
That’s it. Now you can see the pattern. Maybe you’re learning four nights and exercising one. That’s fine—as long as you know you made that choice.
The alternative is tracking both as “done” when you only did one, which is just data rot.
You can also combine: audiobook during cardio, podcast while stretching. But that’s a hack, not a solution.
A single prioritization note each day beats two incomplete habit streaks.
