Your lunchbox doesn’t need bags.

Packing a zero-waste lunch is just about swapping plastic bags and cling wrap for reusable containers and cloth wraps.

The simplest move: use a bento box or any container with compartments. That kills the need for bags entirely. Sandwiches go in a beeswax wrap or a silicone pouch. Snacks go in small glass or steel containers. A cloth napkin doubles as a wrapper for bread or cookies.

You don’t need to buy a whole matching set. Raid your cabinet — old jam jars are perfect for dips and cut fruit. The only real requirements are that it’s washable and you actually use it.

Skip the cling wrap entirely. It’s a pain to get off the roll anyway.

Your lunch will taste the same, and that’s one less handful of plastic in the bin.
